They can't fight, but you can have them follow your real army and repair heavily damaged machines. Also produce Builders in cities with Master's Guilds because those get the Repair Machine ability. Cannons for range, flame tanks for mass destruction and rate of fire, juggernauts for toughness. Not in every city, of course, but in a handful of the best suited, and in places where I can march the to the front lines. If you have a large treasury, you're doing it wrong! Late game, I am always producing armies all the time. If you are ahead, you just need to beat their current army and they'll fold.ĭo i get a more armies, get all tier 3 or 4 units It may take a long time and be quite tedious though. The AI will produce army after army, but you can win. If you are equal, it will be a meatgrinder. You have let the enemy outproduce you and outgrow you. If you are far behind on either of those metrics, you have your work cut out for you. It's worth saving your game and clicking "surrender." Then examine the graphs for army strength and domain/territory. 6 stacks is big for one army (4 is usually enough) but by that stage of the game people can field, overall, easily 20 stacks. This means that late-game armies are MASSIVE. If the AI are lord level or above, they get considerable income bonuses on top of all this. If you play for more than 200 turns, all empires will cover every inch of the map, all tech will have been researched 100 turns ago, all cities will be max size. Even a large map is meant to last no more than 60-100 turns. Ts already past turn 200 and thus far i have defeated some sorcerer high elf and draconian druid. Not quite a hard counter, but like the others said: your machines are immune to their strongest attacks. Quite honestly, Dreadnoughts are one of the strongest classes against Theocrats.
